Eddie & Stephanie Trayers
Eddie and Stephanie Trayers have been on a lifelong journey together sharing the compassion and love of God with anyone who will listen. They met and fell in love while in Bible college and have been in full-time ministry for over 30 years. After graduation in 1989, they served together as youth and associate pastors in Lakeland, Florida.
In 1998, they moved back to Eddie’s hometown in Washington DC. It was there that Summit Church was launched as a home gathering with 15 people meeting in a renovated garage. Today, Summit Church impacts the lives of hundreds throughout the DMV metropolitan area, with a mission to reach the beltway community through weekly services, small groups, and community outreaches.

For Pastor Eddie, it begins and ends with the life-changing message that Jesus saves, heals, and delivers everyone no matter what condition their soul is in. This passion to see God’s love and forgiveness impact lives translates through his weekly relatable messages. The leadership he provides and his teaching style has guided the Summit Church community to become more disciplined about their personal Christian progress and more passionate about reaching hurting humanity. Pastor Eddie’s vision for Summit Church is to be a place filled with people from all walks of life, no matter age, stage, or ethnicity, who are searching for a real connection with God and a life-giving community where they can find freedom, purpose, and make a difference outside the four walls of the church.

Pastor Stephanie and her husband share the same passion for people, which is what makes them such a great team for God! Stephanie is an avid teacher, teaching the Summit community the basics that bring everyday sustaining power for the follower of Jesus Christ. She demonstrates a lifestyle of connection to God through her example of a life of prayer, making a purposeful impact in the lives of the people of Summit Church.
